Meet Timiko Certified Trichologist

Timiko is a seasoned professional in the cosmetology and beauty industry with 23 years of experience.  Her passion for total health and wellness for her clients led her to transition into Trichology, specializing in optimal hair care. This shift was motivated by the realization that many hair and scalp issues were going unaddressed due to a lack of knowledge. Timiko graduated from the United States Trichology Institute in 2016 and continues to study with the International Association Of Trichology to gain further expertise in the field.

Trichologists like Timiko study not just the external aspects of hair and scalp but also delve into the interconnected body systems, nutrition, chemistry of hair, and the physiology of hair and skin. They focus on treating hair issues from the inside out, recognizing that a healthy scalp starts with a healthy body. Timiko's specialized training enables her to offer comprehensive consultations and treatments for hair thinning, hair loss, and scalp disorders.

With her certification as a non-surgical hair loss specialist in 2018, Timiko was well-equipped to address the needs of individuals suffering from hair loss. She founded Mane Medic Hair Rejuvenation, a hair loss clinic offering a range of services, including hair styling, hair extensions, undetectable hair systems, health and scalp analysis, hair loss treatments, and a head spa.

In 2019, Timiko opened A Cultivated Beauty, a boutique salon in Toledo. This salon focuses on enhancing inner beauty and confidence in guests by using high-quality products and providing beauty services in a comfortable, elegant, and friendly atmosphere. The salon offers services for hair, nails, and skin care, and it houses licensed independent contractors in the beauty industry who are committed to staying updated and educated in their profession.

The success of Timiko's salon brand is founded on principles like integrity, accountability, professionalism, superior customer service, and education. She emphasizes the importance of continuous education in the beauty profession, as the industry is ever-evolving. Timiko has had the opportunity to learn from industry leaders, which has fueled her passion and commitment to her career. She has also trained young students in the cosmetology field as well as been in many hair shows throughout the years showcasing her creative side.
